The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it really is alarmed in regards to the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The service stage made for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA sassa will mobilise additional resources to allow the servicing of all buyers and raise usage of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
